School’s Out, SCRAP’s In

When school’s out, SCRAP’s in! Kids in 1st-6th grade are invited to come enjoy creative reuse activities for half a day, or bring a sack lunch and stay all day!  Morning session runs 9:30 am to 12:15 pm, afternoon session is 12:40-3:30 pm. Each session is divided into three parts: An adult-led creative reuse project, a group activity or game, and time for a self-selected project.

  • Cost: $20 per half day session (10% discount for SCRAP members, 50% discount for Master SCRAPpers!)
  • Each session is limited to 10 kids to keep adult to child ratios low.
  • To register: Fill out the registration form online
  • Then, pay for your workshop online through Greater Giving or at SCRAP
  • Download and complete the liability release form and bring it to your workshop

Make and Take Workshops

By popular request (from adults watching kids at School’s Out, SCRAP’s In make awesome projects), SCRAP is offering all ages workshops! Participants 12 and over may attend on their own, while kids 11 and younger may attend with a grown-up participant. Classes are 1-2 pm and will include an introduction to SCRAP as a resource, as well as all the materials needed to make the project at hand.

  • Cost: $5 per person ($4.50 for SCRAP members)
  • To register: Fill out the registration form online
  • Then, pay for your workshop(s) online through Greater Giving or at SCRAP
  • Please note: Limit 12 participants per workshop. Registration closes at 5 pm on the Friday preceding each workshop.
