Already SCRAP is becoming a hub for craftinistas in Denton to meet, greet and get their craft on. SCRAP Denton hosted the local chapter of the National Craftsy Meet-Up on January 26. Nationally, 2,204 people in 628 cities partied with their creative neighbors. In Denton, about 20 showed up for the networking/material swap/craft night. When SCRAP Denton opened its doors for its first day of operation at noon on January 5, something extraordinary happened. I arrived the afternoon of the event to help and advise on the finer points of a successful fundraiser. Well, the role of advisor was completely unnecessary. D had this event dialed.
