Portland summer is a great time to let the kids in your life (or your inner kid) get creative. If you’re not sure where to start, come grab a scoop of crayons from our SCRAP crayon bin, and try your hand at a little bit of creative reuse with one of these five creative crayon crafts.
1) Take your crayons and melt them into fun shapes.
2) Turn those colors into monograms. (This would look great on a birthday dessert table!)

Crafts, creative reuse or otherwise, don’t always have to be a complicated five-hour commitment. Sometimes they can be as simple as grabbing a handful of 25 cent rubber bands from our rubber band bin, some colorful Washi (or similar) tape from our office section, and making cup tags so you don’t spend all of July FIFTH washing dozens of extra cups people grabbed not knowing which original cup was theirs (or being left with a trash bag of plastic cups).
