Last Minute Halloween Decor

Halloween is tomorrow, which means there is still time to make those last minute Halloween decorations. Dryden, our volunteer coordinator here at SCRAP PDX, grabbed some vinyl, white fabric, and bottle caps to make ghosts and bats.

These crafts are completely kid friendly, and that was Dryden’s goal.

SCRAP and Willamette Week’s Give!Guide Join Forces

We’re not going to lie. We are really excited to be a part of Willamette Week’s Give!Guide. We are one of 139 non-profits chosen this year to take part in two months of celebrating the season and the local charities that are working everyday to better the lives of Portlanders.

Global Cardboard Challenge

Global Cardboard Challenge

SCRAP joined forces with community partner Ben Jones of PDX DIY for an afternoon of creativity and creative reuse with the Global Cardboard Challenge, Oct. 11th.

The theme was Arcade, and kids worked in groups of families and friends to build a cardboard arcade. After construction finished, everyone got a chance to play the actual cardboard arcade games including Plinko, pinball, a fortune teller, skee ball, air hockey and more.
