Possibilities are everywhere for Portland artist Julie Forbes. Her work ranges from the discovery of lost items found in space to the simultaneous celebration and condemnation of our consumerist society. Forbes’ show, Deep-Space Archeology, is currently on display in the SCRAP’s Red Rover Trailer gallery through September.

Magnets are a SCRAP treasure. This versatile craft supply can be used for either functionality or fun. And who doesn’t need a little more cheer on their refrigerator? This craft tutorial would be a delightful gift or a baby shower favor, and it’s a great excuse to dig around in the SCRAP fabric sample bin looking for coordinating fabrics.

Each summer, dozens of Portland kids come take part in our SCRAP Portland summer camps. Students have a hands on exploration of all that is creative reuse, and we aren’t afraid to get our hands covered in color.
